We love working with clients who are passionate about what they do, and Kristen from Somni is as passionate as they come.
After years of being a night-shift nurse she came to realise the impact that altered circadian rhythms can have on your body and mental state. She then left nursing to study holistic nutritionist, so she could provide nutritional help and advice for those who work through the night.
Instantly we knew the brand direction was going to reflect night time. We opted for a dark colour palette and moody photography - Kristen takes all the photographs herself so the subject matter is so perfectly curated to her brand.
The logo was a glorious process - getting a brief that said, "can you possibly include a moon in the logo design" was a dream come true. We wanted the logo to be modern and feminine with a touch of handwritten script - as though the tag line was scrawled on an old apothecary bottle.
The visual identity is intertwined perfectly with the verbal identity for this brand. Somni deals with clients who are often in a delicate state and are seeking help, so we opted for soothing words with an educated tone as the way to communicate.
We love how this project turned out and we look forward to watching it make a positive change for those working night-shifts.
